In what areas do you do home visits?
We are predominantly based in St Albans and Southgate, North London. Contact us to see whether we can visit you!
For central London locations, fees are higher. Please contact us for further information.
How do I make an appointment?
Telephone or email us. We will respond to you within 24 hours.

Do I need a doctor's referral to make an appointment?
No, you can self refer independently and be seen quickly and efficiently.
Is the cost of treatment covered by insurance companies?
This will depend on the circumstances of each individual case. Please contact us to discuss.
Unfortunately, Pilates is not currently covered by insurance companies.
The clinics cover most insurance companies including BUPA and AXA PPP but this depends on where you wish to be seen.
How long are the appointments?
All home visit appointments are one hour to allow time for thorough ongoing assessment and treatment.
Clinic appointments vary depending where you wish to be seen.
What will happen at my first appointment?
For physiotherapy, the therapist will ask you questions about the nature of your condition, find out about your lifestyle and listen to your concerns before clinically examining you. Together, you will co-create a treatment plan that meets your needs and fits your particular circumstances.
For Pilates, the first session will involve a postural and movement assessment leading to agreed targets and exercise goals.
What should I wear?
For the purposes of physical assessment and treatment, the removal of certain items of clothes may be required depending on which part of your body needs to be examined. You may wish to wear shorts or sports clothes to maintain comfort and modesty as required.
How can I pay for my treatment?
You may pay by cheque or with cash.
Cheques made payable to 'Archer Physiotherapy and Pilates Ltd'.
Will I be charged for my appointment if I fail to attend?
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please inform us 48 hours before so that somebody else can use the time. There is no charge for the appointment if it is cancelled within this time limit, otherwise the full amount will be charged.
